Choosing a food database for custom foods and recipes

Database options

  1. Australia - The default and best general use database for Australia. Based on the AUSNUT 2013 Database with mapped brand foods.

  2. NewZealand - The default and best general use database for New Zealand. Based on FoodFiles2016 with mapped brand foods.

  3. AUSNUT 2013 - Standard Australian research database from FSANZ. More details on their website http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/science/monitoringnutrients/ausnut/Pages/about.aspx

  4. Australian Food Composition - Formerly known as NUTAB from FSANZ another Australian research database.  You can read more here http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/science/monitoringnutrients/afcd/Pages/default.aspx
