Custom items like recipes, foods and meals can be shared with other users or assessments by changing the access level.
Access permissions to all items from profile settings (assessments only)
The easiest way to share custom items with assessments (this does not work with real followers) is to grant access to all custom items in the assessments profile. Once done any existing or new custom items will be available for this assessment.
Note: You will not see the check box option to "Allow All Custom Access" until you have initially created and saved the assessment.

To change the access level you can click the access button shown in the image below and granting owner, write or read access to the custom item for the selected users and assessments.
